September 7 Run

Today's Run

We had a smaller than usual turnout today - eleven people at the start and sixteen counting those who started before or after 7:00AM.  At 75 degrees, it was the "coolest" morning we've had in a long time.  More relief shortly on the way

Among the group was Bob Raymond who will be with us again next week.  This may be Bob's sayonara since he is selling his condo shortly.

From Wendy Tumlin

"3 halfs in 3 states in 3 days:
Saturday, August 30th: Boone, NC: 2:28:00; Sunday, August 31st: Portage, IN: 2:27:40. Monday, September 1st: Oak Brooke, IL: 2:27:10 & I stopped to help an injured runner after mile 12!"  Here is the booty:

I'm speechless, Wendy!  How did you do that?  Congratulations on your seemingly

impossible physical and logistical performance. I'm extremely impressed. Three half marathons in three states in three days. CONGRATULATIONS!

Hope you can come join us one of these Sundays soon.

From Ben Pierce

A little plug…as a reminder for the upcoming races this fall, St. James Cathedral School on Lake Eola will be opening its parking lots as a fundraiser again this year for the school.  The location is great for races like the upcoming 15K, the OUC Half and the Turkey Trot It is at the corner of Robinson and Hillman Avenues.

Track Shack Race Series

Next Saturday the second race of the series takes place in Casselberry.  It's a 5K.

Hope to see some of you there.

Have a great week.

Jack
