February 16th Run

Today's Run

Seventeen or so people showed up today, undaunted by a temp in the mid 40's and a brisk, sunny day. Since I had weary legs after yesterday's 5K, I took it easy and enjoyed the experience. I decided to concentrate on the beauty of our running route and captured the following scenes. (Alabama Way and the golf course).  It's great to stop and smell the flowers on occasion.

Carly's 8K in Japan

Congratulations to Carly on her 8K race halfway around the world where she represented the ORC in an 8K in Urayasu, Japan.  Pictured below is Carly in her kimono. Great picture, Carly!  Hope you enjoyed the post-race saki.

Yesterday's House of Hope 5K

We had a good representation for this run around the Pines—nine people whom I was able to identify (Rose, Linda, Kirsty, Cheryl, Haley (and her family), Dave, Bob, Dylan and myself.

Congratulations to Rose and Bob on placing first in their age groups. Thanks also to Linda for pulling me along.  We started and finished in lock step.

Seth in today's Fort Lauderdale Marathon

Hope your race has gone well Seth.  Please let the group know how you fared.

Have wonderful week.
