Today's Run
The threat of April showers put a bit of a damper, as it were, on today's run. It was a bit drizzly before we started, but that gave way to a very pleasant temperature and a fading humidity as the sun came up. I believe we had thirteen runners.
This past week has been a momentous one for runners on both a national and local level. We've gone through the tragedy at the Boston Marathon and we've had some local victories including the running of the Corporate 5K. Last Sunday Kirsty Walker and husband Jeff did their first triathlon in Cocoa Beach . Jeff Hyson also was there and knocked off a PR which included a fast 5K finish. Congratulations to the three of you!
A warm welcome to Carly Dudash who has been running with us over the past several weeks with her friend Kerry. Carly has been added to our e-mail list of Sunday runners!
The International Desk
I had a nice thank you e-mail from Christian, our visitor from the Dominican Republic several weeks ago.
Congratulations to Christine and husband Steve
Christine very uncharacteristically arrived a minute or two late and had to scurry to catch up with us. She turned a dozen runners into a baker's dozen. She and husband Steve joined us at Panera's afterwards. Please join me wishing Christine and Steve a Happy Anniversary. They will be married six years this coming Tuesday!
Jorge Rivera
I had lunch with Jorge last week to celebrate the birth of their second child, a beautiful little girl named Paulina Sofia who was born on March 28th. Congrats to parents Lena and Jorge!!!
Have a great week. Hope to see you for the end of the month run next week!
Jack
