Today's Run
Our run today was characterized by a dominance of females, a small turnout, a new runner (Michell) a return visit by Jesse (who joined the group last week for the first time) and two young ladies whose names I did not get. We barely managed to reach double digits, (which was only half that of last Sunday).
Michell lives in Ocoee, has participated in the recent Marathonfest program and ran the Disney
The turnout undoubtedly was negatively affected by a 39 degree temperature, the lowest of the season. It actually turned out to be a very comfortable run, however, given the fact that it was a sunny day with no wind.
Dave: Can you please provide the names and e-mail addresses of the two young ladies? I believe they are ORC members.
Speaking of Ocoee, we still have not heard from nor seen Debbie and Helene, the original girls from Ocoee. I think it's about time that you two show up to do your victory lap after running Disney. How are you two doing? We miss you much.
Yesterday's Run Around the Pines 5K Race
I am aware of at least six of us running yesterday's race: Rose (1st place in age group), Bob (3rd place), Cheryl, Dave, Kirsty and myself. Heather, a long-term runner with the group over the years, placed third in the overall women's category. We reminisced over her joining the Sunday group some twenty years ago as an 18 year old!!
Hope to see you soonhave a great week!
Jack
