May 13 Run

Today's Run

We had a slightly smaller group of eleven runners today and again lucked out with a 68 degree start.  We were pleased to welcome Cheryl back after an extended absence

Happy Mother's Day to all of our mothers in the group.  Hope your special day went well.

My son and I prepared dinner for wife Mary and daughter Mikella.  Luckily my son Matt is pretty good in the kitchen.  I am proud of the fact that I baked brownies and knocked off a salad!

News from Christy

I was delighted to have Christy check in last week.  She has not been out to join us in quite a while, but let me know that she had her final surgery and plans to rejoin us when she heals from her procedure.

Christie works at Universal (and a few other places) and first joined us to train for the NYC Marathon several years ago.  She ran as a cancer survivor and wrote one of the funniest stories I've ever read about her first Marathon in the Big Apple.

We wish you well, Christy and hope we will see you very soon!

Have a wonderful week.  Hope to see you soon.

Jack
