March 11 Run

Today's Run

Beset by sickness, injuries, a rain threat and some aborted clock changes, we still managed to field a dozen brave souls this morning.  I packed it in after a few miles when I got too close to home. I ended up showering and going back to Paneras for breakfast with my bride.  That was the highlight of the morning.

 

Christine and Kim served as "Co-Queens" of the run and Russ introduced a friend to the group.  Russ, please let me know if your buddy intends to become a regular.

 

Dave's posting re Corporate 5k Meets

"The Orlando Runners Club is looking for volunteers for the water stop at the Corp 5k on Thursday evening April 12^th.  For doing the water stop the club gets a donation to our Scholarship fund which gives out annually 4-$1000 scholarships to high school Senior runners heading off to College to run.  They can sign up by emailing me at dberry15@cfl.rr.com. " Dave is co-chair of the water stop committee.

 

Next Weekend

Keep in mind that the Winter Park Art Festival will be taking place next weekend, which means that Park Avenue will be closed off.  Not a problem, since you can park on Knowles, one block east of Park, or New York Avenue, one block west.
