March 27 Run

We had a pretty good turnout of 17 this morning, not bad for a post-race day. Six of us had done the 10K yesterday.  Rose and Rich made a cameo appearance with their new pup, and Liz showed up after a fairly long sabbatical.

 

We hosted visitor Doug by sending him off with a map of the ten mile route and hope it got him through his run OK.  Doug took one look at Seth and reminded  Seth that Seth had been his college professor at UCF some years ago.  Small world!

 

PR Girl

Cheryl informed us that she once again has set a 10K PR.  Congratulations, Cheryl! Husband Marcus did the 2 miler yesterday and finished in the top ten of 824 racers. 

 

Yesterday's race drew close to 2800 runners on Park Ave. yesterday (2053 for the 10K and 824 for the 2 Miler).  As usual, women accounted for a majority (57%) of the turnout.  An interesting phenomenon!
