Today's turnout
Today's weather was mild, but it sprinkled several times on the sub ten mile group. The rain came down harder on the ten miler contingent. We had a respectable turnout of 21 people, four of whom were new to the group (a young couple and two members of the Sunday Marathonfest group).
It was great to see some faces that we haven't seen in a while, particularly Vicki who has been AWOL for a pretty good spell.

For the second time in a week, a parent of one of our runners passed away recently. Christine notified me that her Father unexpectedly died at age 56 in South

There was a turnout of almost 1800 ladies for this popular annual 5K at
I also found it of interest that 22 women over age 70 competed and an 81 year old, Anna Kahl, was the second fastest woman over 70 and faster than most of the 65 year old category. Amazing! I want to be like her when I grow up.
