April 18 Run

This morning was a great day for running despite a bit of humidity, and we beat the rain by about two hours. Chalk up an excellent turnout of some two dozen people, four of whom were new faces and another half dozen regulars whom we haven’s seen for a few weeks.

We have just completed the 15th Sunday run of the year.

Dave reports that we had a good representation of our group working the Mile #1 water stop at the Corporate Race last Wednesday, an event which drew some 12,000 racers!

Welcome to our four first-timers who showed up this morning. (Jari and daughter Jarili, John Moran and Carolyn, a friend of Carolyne. Hope I got the spellings right! We hope you will become part of the group.

I have added two more Sunday runners to our e-mail list. They are Kim and Claudia. If you don’t know these names, I am sure you know their faces. These two ladies have been running on Sunday for as long as I can remember, and I started running well over twenty years ago. Kim and Claudia are the two runners who start a few minutes later than us and then zip by us one or more times along the route. At the risk of embarrassing them, they are two of the finest runners in our community, and two great people as well.

FYI, we just passed the 60 mark on our e-mail distribution list of Sunday runners. I think we can now declare victory on resuscitating the 30 year old Sunday Runners Group. I am psyched!

Have a great week. Happy Paul Revere Day!

Jack
