Hopefully Dylan will report of today's run. Some of the group had excused absences to race at UCF.

This morning over 2000 runners participated in the UCF Five Miler and 5K races. I accounted for five our group running the 5K (Abby, Simone, Barbara, Rose and myself.) Rose pulled in a third place. Congratulations Rose!
Simone competed in the Double Dare. Abby and Simone are our group's newest and youngest runners.

Here's the rest of the morning story: nine showed up at Park & Welbourne for the Sunday ritual. What was unusual was that there was the fall art show set up in the park. Dylan arrived at O-dark-5:30 to get six early miles in and the street was empty, and a WPPD officer was sitting in an SUV police vehicle at Morse and Park. Dylan drove right past her and parked down by Williams & Sonoma as usual.
When he made it back at 7 a.m. there were two other cars parked on the street at an angle and eight other hearty souls on the sidewalk ready to run. Dave was back again and ran a good pace. Chris accompanied Dylan to Via Tuscany before heading to the barn. Cheryl and Pumpkin were there and ran with Rich for the 10-mile loop. Christine and Jamie turned at Mizell as Jamie is tapering for her race next weekend and only wanted six miles today. Christine obliged.
A gal who's name I missed was running with her young son in a jogger. They were rudely honked at, just before Aloma. A jerk neighbor thought she was too far into the road.
Atif ran with someone and when he passed this correspondent he was making a case for the Muslim Women's Suffrage movement, specifically about the young woman who was put down for campaigning for more educational opportunities for girls.
Seth was found walking semi-aimlessly on Phelps in his dehydrated sleep-deprived state after attending a barbershop quartet convention the night before where late-night song required having "another." Cheryl took care of refreshments at Seth's house with more squeeze-pops.
Dylan ran 16 miles and when he returned to Park Avenue, his car had been towed. Apparently there were signs up "No Parking 6am to 6 pm." Who could see them in the dark at 5:30?? Fortunately, the car had only been towed to the City Hall lot and the city paid the towing and didn't ticket him. That's good because there was some negligence on the part of the 5:30 a.m. officer who didn't do her job.
That is all. Now, back to Jack.
