September 8 Run

I'm back from 10 days in Europe, where I added three new cities and two new countries to my "running resume":  Our cruise started in Venice and visited Croatia and Montenegro, all in the Adriatic, Always great to return to my favorite people on Sundays!

 

Thanks to Dylan for keeping the group informed last Sunday!  Also, welcome to Jarred who joined us for his first run with the group last Sunday.

 

This morning we had some 17 runners plus Pumpkin. Marty and Dave showed up after long absences.

 

Dave is a long-time member of the group who took a long sabbatical before he came in from the cold. Dave checked out in January of 2011, so it's well over two years since he bowed out!  It's great to have the "Prodigal Son" return. Welcome back, Dave!

 

Marty also is a good friend and a long - term member of the group who suffered severe injuries after being hit by a car  while biking almost three years ago.  He has had a remarkable recovery!  By the way, Marty now manages a New York style deli by the name of Brown's NY Deli at 17-92 and Lake Avenue in Maitland.  The food is great and is served in generous proportions!  I know a number of our group has already tried it out with good results!
