August 4 Run

Today's Run

What a great turnout today!  Would you believe 30 runners (counting Pumpkin, our new designated mascot).  This includes three new runners: Jennifer who is planning to do Space Coast Marathon, Sarah who is relatively new to the area, Abby, who also is relatively new to the area and planning to do the Tower of Terror. We also had a young man show up for his first run with the group, but I failed to get his contact info.  Hopefully we can do that next Sunday.  Finally, I had my grand daughter Keelyn out with me.  She is a 14 year old competitive swimmer who very recently started cross country running in MD.  She dusted me!

 

We also expected two more runners this morning.  Marisol, a UCF student, e-mailed me that she had a family emergency and had to go to Miami.  The other, Naigash, is new to the area and was a no-show.

 

We had a 50% attendance by the girls from Ocoee (Debbie) and greeted Geralynn, who gets this week's prize for travelling the furthest (Satellite Beach area)

 

I estimate that Geralynn, Rose, Barbara and I are a sub-group with about 100 cumulative years of running with the Sunday Group!!

 

In the meantime, Dylan is still off on vacation running an 11.6 mile race, the 51^st John and Jesse Kelly Ocean Beach race in New London CT.  He will have to explain the odd distance.
