May 11 Run

Today's Run

First things first:  Happy Mother's Day to all our running mothers!  A few of you made it out this morning for a jarringly warm run in the mid-70's.

We had a normal turnout of some 15 people, including new runners Kate and Bryan.  Both of them are rehabbing injuries and I've already heard from Kate that they enjoyed their experience and plans to join the group.

I chatted with Kim and Claudia between miles 3 and 4.  Claudia announced that this would be her last run with us until the fall as she is off Wisconsin for her usual summer break.  Good luck, Claudia!  We will miss you.

Thanks to Jennifer, I had company for almost six miles despite the fact that my buddy Bob is on his way to his other home in Woodstock VT.  He got out of town just before his 81st birthday, leaving me as the oldest guy on the block.

Thought for the week

All men should try to learn before they die what they are running from, and to, and why.  (Anonymous)

Have a great week!

Jack
