January 19th Run

Today's Run

We had a turnout of 18 or more runners today.  I arrived late at 7:02 and may have missed a few people in that count.  At 37 degrees, this was our coldest Sunday run in an age and most of us were bundled up.  I was a bit apprehensive when I saw that Vermont Bob was wearing tights (like most of the crew).  I didn't, and figured I would freeze, but ended up OK since there was no wind today. (Yesterday was a different matter!)

Joining for the first time in a while was Jackie Ewen.  Jackie ran with us for years before she married and moved to Sanford.  She is wife Mary and my "adopted daughter" so it was wonderful to see here.  She, Bob and I likely have logged a thousand miles together

Haley joined us for her second run and has been added to our roster.  Welcome, Haley!

Snippets from Helene's Dopey Odyssey:

Helene sent me a bunch of great pictures.  It was hard to pick the best ones, so you won't see her doing push-ups. She reported that Debbie PR'd in her Marathon.  Congratulations Debbie!  We expect you two to join us soon for your victory laps.

Lucy, who graduated to our Morse Blvd. sister group, reports that she ran the Disney Marathon as a bandit and turned in a very respectable 4:04 time. Good job, Lucy!

Town of Celebration Inaugural Marathon

Good luck next weekend to Simone, Gina, Dave and Seth.

A surprisingly large group of us adjourned to Panera's for breakfast afterwards.

See you next week. Stay warm!

Jack
