December 15 Run

Today's Run

Barely a dozen of us showed today, as a pre-run downpour convinced  some of us to roll over and go back to sleep.  Those who showed had a humid but reasonably pleasant run.

Chris was absent due to a hamstring issue.

Additional Half Marathon Results

Jamie shared that she and Arnette both ran the OUC Half last Saturday. That means that nine of the group participated.

Christy

Five years ago, Christy trained with our group for the New York City Marathon. Christy is a breast cancer survivor and was training for what would be her first marathon. I believe she came in around a 4:35!  She surfaced a few weeks ago when she sent me an e-mail which included a picture which tells its own story.  I was delighted to hear from her and thought it would be nice to share the goods news of her marriage early this year and the upcoming birth of their first child due February 26th. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your husband from all of us, Christy!!

Thought for the week

The bamboo that bends is stronger than the oak that resists.  Japanese proverb.

Have a great week.
