Today's Run

It was an unusual morning with a glorious temperature.  I had to run from home in order to make it to my grand daughter's first communion ceremony.  I got lucky running downtown. I caught up to Chris headed for Park Avenue.  After I got left in the dust on Park Avenue, I found Dylan looking for me at the top of Alabama hill and thus had good company for the rest of my run.  He was kind enough to run to my house at which point we added another half mile.  Thus we did a totally unauthorized route!  Thanks for the support, Dylan!

I urge you to read Dylan's take on this morning even though he beat me up a bit.  Check him out on his blog:  thintrade.com  I really don't mind getting beat up when someone is funny.  Dylan is funny.  He also has a plan!

We had a very healthy turnout of some 17 people evenly split by gender. We were blessed with great running conditions, despite the fact that it was misty at my 6:15 start.  Kirsty was able to join us for the first time in a while, and Carolyn brought along two friends including Lorrie who is new to the group.

We now have had Rose's company two weeks in a row.  It seems that her recent trip (which literally took her and husband Rich around the world) is working wonders on getting her out on Sundays!  It probably has something to do with the loops!

I spoke to Bob a few moments ago.  They just got back to Woodstock last evening, since they spent several days in CT and NYC along the way.  Bob asked me to express his appreciation to all of you who turned out to pre-celebrate his 80th B'day which is next Sunday.

Have a great week!

I appreciate the groups support as I approach middle age. However, Jack is rushing things. My birthday is not next Sunday, as he reported, but Tuesday the 14th. Until then, I am still a youngster but I was glad to be able to "slack with Jack at the back of the pack" while in Winter Park. Have a great summer
