February 3 Run
We were gifted with a glorious sunny day and a brisk 48 degree temperature this morning. The turnout was healthy at 19 runners—male dominated. Softening our image, however, we had Cheryl, Christine, Claudia, Kim and Corey in the mix.
Jeff Hyson gifted us with his presence—Welcome back, Jeff! We also had a new runner show up, Ralph, I believe. With two lost running weeks this year already, I was happy to eke out six miles today, thanks to Bob who coaxed me along.
Yesterday's Lady Track Shack Race
The Lady Track Shack 5K ran yesterday—I was able to account for a half dozen of our group participating. Rose placed 3rd in her age category. Congratulations, Rose!
The race drew 1900 ladies—a nice turnout.
It is heartwarming to some of us old dogs to see that Jon & Betsy Hughes parents continue to run that race. Both are in their 80's and they always finish in lock step.
