November 4th Run

This Morning's Run

Today was a picture perfect 60 degree day which drew some 20 people, including three first-timers and some folks we haven't seen in a while.  People like Amy, Mikko, Beth and Claudia (just back from her summer home in Wisconsin) John has relocated from Alaska and we hope to see him a lot more.

 

This has been an active and zany few weeks in the racing arena.  For openers, the NYC Marathon was cancelled.  This was a huge disappointment to Kirsty who was scheduled to run it.  I don't know whether Kirsty, like many others, was already in New York City.  There was a news blurb that one guy flew 6000 miles from Dubai to complete.  What a mess!!  I understand that Marathonfest groups had over 30 people scheduled to run.

 

Recent Races

Liz recently did the Ponce Inlet Half Marathon and placed third in her age group.

 

Jamie and Arnette ran the Myrtle Beach Half several weeks ago.

 

Debbie and Helene did a 5K in Ocoee yesterday.  Debbie placed first in her age group and Helene clocked a PR.

 

Geralynn did a half marathon (somewhere) in Canada but is still a holdout on letting us know how she did.  Please check in, Geralynn

 

Leslie (of our Colorado contingent) did the Marine Corp Marathon last week in an injured condition.  I had to smoke out her results since she hasn't checked in yet.
