October 28 Run

Today's Run

We had a nice turnout of 14 or so people today for our last run in October.  It was a day worth turning out for with a temp in the low 60's and a nice breeze.  Lytle and Brian were in town today for a family wedding and Lytle managed to make out for a run with us. She says they love Evanston and that it has a great running club with some 300 members and good programs.  Lytle and Brian will be back for their wedding on November 17th.  We wish you well!

 

Christine/Chris

Very good news to report on Christine.  She came out this morning and ran six miles!  That did not appear to be in the cards just a few short weeks ago.  She is coming off a Caribbean cruise, so that may be therapy a lot us need!

 

So we have Christine back, but Chris is now on the injured list.  What do you think about a cruise, Chris?

 

The Colorado Desk

Leslie reports that she was tackling the Marine Corp Marathon in DC today with a friend from Windermere. She will be here for Thanksgiving and hopes to run with us on Sunday, November 25^th. (Dave, pls be ready to accompany her!)  Also hoping to do Goofy if she can beat a calf injury she has developed running those Colorado mountain trails.

Wendy's Detroit Marathon

Wendy competed her marathon in a respectable 4:46, this despite pain from hip, hamstring and left knee.  She also found a $20 bill along the way.  I'm sure that's a PR! (Dylan, take note!)
