September 2 update

We got back in town a while ago and found the following news worth sharing:

"Hi, guys. Sorry to be last minute, but I won't he able to come out tomorrow. I had some breathing issues on Thursday and ended up back in the ER for overnight observation. Turned out to be a residual clot but it's making it hard to breathe again so I'll have to skip tomorrow's walk. So sorry. Hopefully next week!"

 

Let's remember Christine in our prayers!

 

From Dede

Due to Christine's reoccurrence of her pulmonary thrombosis, she and Dede cancelled their planned run this morning.  Ironically, a fried of ours showed up this morning and ended up walking by herself for a half hour.

 

From Wendy

Wendy will be running. a 200-mile relay through the Blue Ridge Mountains Fri & Sat with a 12-man team relay. Here are her assignments:

 

"First leg is 6.3 miles. The Minimum Elev is 2963 feet. Maximum is 3425 ft.  The Ascent for this leg is +518 feet and the Descent is -407 feet.
Second leg is 5.6 miles.  The Minimum Elev is 2484 feet. Maximum is 2881 ft. The Ascent for this leg is +463 feet and the Descent is -423 feet.
Third leg is 4.2 miles.  The Minimum Elev is 2461 feet. Maximum is 3438 ft. The Ascent for this leg is +951 feet and the Descent is -285 feet."

 

She will be "warming up" for the race by running with Chris and me on Wednesday.  Let's all wish her well.  Sounds a bit like Colorado to me!
