Today's turnout
We had a small break in the temperature today with a 75 degree start. That was enough to entice sixteen or so out to run this morning. Welcome to my new next door neighbor Ryan. Hope you enjoyed your first run with the group, Ryan, and that we will see you often.
Our two group members on the injured list both showed up today. Dede came out early to walk and Christine unexpected showed up at the end of my run today. She still has some continuing issues with her recent pulmonary embolism and is limited in what she can do. Nonetheless, she joined Mary and me at Panera's, which gave us chance to catch up.

We had at least eight of the group show up yesterday in
I have to share what happened just after I finished. A young lady approaches me and asks: "Are you Jeff Galloway?" and extends her hand. "Yes" I answered. Immediately filled with guilt, I retracted my lie. (She mistakenly thought the announcer had acknowledged "Jeff Galloway" instead of Jack Gallagher at the finish line". A fleeting moment of glory!
News Too Good Not to Share!
Last Tuesday I was running a few blocks from my home when I was overtaken by my friend, Marty Katz. . He was on the way to the Y with his wife when he spotted me and decided to jump out of the car and run with me for a few miles.
As many of you know, Marty is a walking miracle and had not run with us for years. He is the guy who got hit from behind on his bike and was tossed some 30 feet through the air on Howell Branch. He hovered near death for a spell, had multiple broken bones and for a spell seemed to have dim prospects of returning to normal. Some months ago I reported that he went back to biking. More recently he began to ramp up his running and is up to three miles
So there, Marty! I've blown your cover, but this is something I just had to share with the group. We sincerely hope you will soon re-join us. There is an important message here for all of us: Stay in shape and don't despair when beset with the trials which all of us face in life from time to time. The fit fare better when rehabbing!

Jack, we like your long-windedness, so long as it's down.
Did Bob run as a Buda or as a Pest while there?
