Today's Run

We had a very healthy turnout of at least 22 people today, including three new members who have joined us in the last week. (Atif, Richard and Mark). It was great to have Jeff with us this morning, squeezing in a run before he ships out for a business trip to Germany. Also great to see Mat visiting from the Florida West Coast.

 

Thanks, Michele, for bringing me my ORC award shirt this morning.  Sorry that family obligations kept me from attending the banquet last Friday evening.

News from Lytle

"I think its fun to "export" our WP runners to all ends of the country - it makes for great "reunion runs" as you're planning in Colorado. We welcome any and all visitors up to Evanston anytime - and have a guest room to offer. Brian and I went to the Evanston Running Club's Wednesday night track workout ("Summervals") and were overwhelmed with the warm reception we received from everyone. As I was making my way around the track, I heard a voice say, "I see Track Shack on your shirt, are you from Orlando?" and it turns out it was a young lady my age who just moved to Evanston in January from Winter Park! What a small world. I look forward to getting to know her."

 

Sounds like Lytle and Brian are settling in well and finding that it's a small world!

 

Seth's Big 60 party, Tuesday, July 17

Don't forget to try to join Seth to celebrate a big one this week.  Seth kindly gifted the group with liquid refreshments at his house today (the 4 mile mark.)
