What a nice turnout today! It was good to see some faces we haven’t seen in a while. Over two dozen people were standing tall to meet reporter Camille and photographer Sarah this morning. I just called her to thank her for taking on such an early gig with a bunch of crazy runners! As previously reported, Winter Park Magazine hopefully will be featuring us in an article—not before June as I understand it.
When last seen, Sarah was headed out towards Rollins to try catching you ten milers coming back in. Please let me know if she found any of you! Sarah had last told me that she would try to show up at the Bonita water stop, but that did not happen to the best of my knowledge. She wanted to catch up with us earlier, but Via Tuscany was closed, and she was not familiar enough with the territory to work around that.
Dede Kelly and family
I believe that most of you have met Dede, who began running with us several months ago. You should know that Dede is on her way to New York City today with her Mother and two of her sisters to a photo shoot for an article in Good Housekeeping Magazine. The story is the significant weight loss which the four of them achieved. Dede lost 120 pounds and I believe she told me that one of her sisters lost even more! One sister will be here for the summer and plans to come out and run with us! It will be so nice to have two budding celebrities in our group!!
