Today's turnout was 15-16 people on a great running day in the mid-60's.
Blanket Report: It looks like our final blanket count has risen to 269 since another 12 blankets surfaced this week. Great job, everyone!
Marathon Bob: See Bob's tri-generational marathon picture attached. Is it possible that these three handsome / beautiful people could have run the Dublin Marathon and looked that great afterwards? Bob is recognizable, but does anyone want to guess which one of the beautiful ladies is his daughter and which is his grand daughter? As clean –cut as they all look, I harbor some suspicions that they really spent five hours pub-hopping around Dublin and posed for the picture before they started (since they all appear to be sober)!! Dublin is particularly noted for this sort of novel approach to marathons. Congratulations again, Bob!
Marty Katz update: I feel as though I have had a ringside seat watching a miracle unfold. Marty was released from the Winter Park Rehab facility yesterday! I got to spend time with him two days this week and found it mind-boggling that someone who was as close to death as he was but a few weeks ago -- is alive, alert and paddling around the hospital in a wheel chair under his own power. Marty very much appreciates all of your prayers and concern for him. If any of you who know Marty might be able to assist in getting him to and from the Wellness Center for his therapy sessions, please let him or me know.
We all wish you well, Marty!
Liz: Also in recovery mode is Liz, who has been grounded with a nasty fracture which required several pins in her wrist. I ran into Liz at Panera's after this morning's run where she had come to meet Carol. We look forward to seeing you soon, Liz!
Have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving!
Jack
