July 25 Run

Looks like the summer doldrums have taken over. Today's sparse crowd of only 8 people included a visitor from St. Louis and Kim representing our female contingent. Easier to understand when you take into account that the starting temp of 81 degrees is about as hot as we have had over the last year.

At last night's ORC awards banquet, I saw seven more of our regulars, all of whom placed in their age categories (Barbara, Rose, Liz, Cheryl, Sabrina, Seth and Dave). Congratulations to all!

Also met our newest member, Beth, who joined us for the first time two weeks ago when I was travelling. Welcome, Beth! I added you to our mailing list today.

Dylan told me this morning that he is off to vacation and will run the John Kelly Ocean Beach 11.6 mile run in New London CT. Good luck, Dylan

I had an e-mail from Ed this week. Ed injured himself in a trail race in South Tahoe CA where he was attending to some business. We wish you a speedy recovery, Ed.

Since we have a big mis-match between the number of people on our e-mail list and the number of people who actually turn out for the Sunday run, I again ask that you let me know if you would prefer to be dropped from our periodic communications.

Have a great week!

Jack
