November 17 Run

Today's Run

We had a healthy turnout of 20 people today. Seven of the group are on countdown to the December 1st Space Coast Marathon blast-off, (Simone's first). Three more are running the Half.  Three weeks later a half dozen of or so of us are doing the OUC Half on December 7th (Abby's first.) Seth is both singing at and running the Mt. Dora Half on December 15.

Ed

I checked in with Ed this week regarding his wife's family who live in the Philippines.  Luckily they all escaped most of the devastation that the country at large suffered. If Ed's wife had not changed her plans at the last minute, she would have been there during the storm.

Congratulations to Ralph!

Ralph ran a Disney half marathon last weekend. It was his first half marathon and he turned in a very respectable 1:48 time.  He also had a great showing in his age group, placing 15 out 328 men.

Points to Ponder

"There is a difference between interest and commitment. When you are interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results." -Ken Blanchard

Have a great week.
