Today's Run
It can best be described as challenging. Our first Sunday in July was appropriately hot and humid. Read that as 75 degrees with a 94% humidity at the start. That did not deter 16 of us from giving it a go (17 including Cheryl's dog Pumpkin) Carly and I reminded ourselves that gutting thru the summer is what translates into new-found fitness in the Fall. Christine was undeterred by the weather and rode her bike to and from
Mark arrived with a treasure trove of limes. You may want to check the bench at our starting point to see whether there are any left.
David joined us for the first time and plans to become a regular. Welcome, David! Dylan (whose real name also is David) was off cavorting in
Water Stops
Bonita: We were dismayed to find the four mile water stop is undergoing construction and was unavailable today. I'm going to try to contact the City to alert them to the fact that our running community depends on that spigot for hydration and suggest they find a way to give us a heads-up when this happens.
Seth's house: Seth, would you please advise whether the water cooler at your house is that of the Marathonfest Group or placed there by you? If the former, we have no right to use it since it is intended for the use by runners enrolled in Marathonfest.
Our E-mail distribution list
We now have 97 people on our roster. I urge any of you who no longer wish to receive our e-mail updates to please let me know. If you haven't been out to run in a while, we promise to greet you as prodigal sons and daughters when you next show up!
Have a great week! Come join us next Sunday if you can!
Jack
