June's last run

Today's Run

Fourteen people turned out for a typical summer run.  Two were delightful young ladies visiting-- Alliah from Tallahassee and Angela from Bucks Country PA.  Also, Ed's wife Macy came out to walk. In all the years I have known Ed, I had never met Macy before..

Today was my first run since last Sunday.  In the interim Mary and I did a whirlwind trip covering MD, PA, NY, VT and NH.  We got to visit Bob and wife Bev in Woodstock for two days.  I never got to run with Bob since along the way I managed to take a header which by all rights should have incapacitated me. I'm waiting for X-ray results to see if there is any damage, but miraculously I was able to knock a slow five miles today without pain.  Saw Danny at mile 2 and found out he has several cracked ribs.  Tis the season!! Well, at least Luis is off the injured list.

Marty Katz

My friend, running companion and survivor of a horrific biking accident several years ago invited me to today's soft opening of  Browns NY style Deli. a new restaurant in Maitland which he is managing.  It is a New York style deli which will be serving only lunch for the first few weeks. It's located on the southwest corner Lake Avenue and 17-92.  Good luck, Marty, in your latest venture.

So we have made it through June!  See you next week for July's 1st run!

Many thanks to Dylan for covering last week's run which was posted both on our blog and on Dylan's thintrade.com website.
