December 1st Run

Today's Run

For our first run in December we drew a baker's dozen of runners--not a bad turnout considering that we had about a dozen people competing in the Space Coast Marathon and Half Marathon races this morning.  Hopefully the weather for them was like it was here today.  Space Coast runners:  Please check in to let us know how you fared!

OUC Half

Four of us will be running the OUC Half next Saturday, including Cheryl who is both running the Marathon today and leading a pace group next week-end!

Keep in mind that Ben will be overseeing parking at St. James School lot, which is one block off Robinson and very convenient to the race start.  Cost is $10 and well worth the convenience for the 7:00 AM race start.

Only one longer race remains for the rest of this year—the Mt. Dora Half.  Seth will be both running and singing at that race.  (Singing before and then running).

Have a great week

Jack

For those of you not running the OUC/Orlando half this Saturday, the Orlando Runners Club will be manning the first water stop. Money raised from doing the water stop will go to help fund our Cultural Exchange program with the Urayasu, Japan runners club. If you’re at the half, be sure to stop by the ORC tent and say hello to the 6 runners that came over from Japan this year. If you’re not running, we could use your help at the water stop. This year we are signing up through the Volunteer spot web site. We will be at the water stop the corner of Lawsona & Central at 6am Saturday and because we are the first water stop, we will be able to clean up and walk down to Lake Eola in time to see everyone finish. If you can help us out, please follow instructions below to sign up. If you have any trouble signing up, just give me a holler at either of my emails: dberry15@cfl.rr.com or oap@cfl.rr.com.
