July 8 Run

Today's Run

Thirteen brave souls showed up for a rather warm run (78 degree start and 85 degree finish).  We welcomed two new runners to the group.  Atif joined us last week for a run and today opted to join the group.  Richard showed up for his first run with us and he too became a member.  Atif recently moved here from Tampa and Richard has relocated all the way from Hawaii for a position at ORMC.  A warm welcome to both of you!

Seth has been with us for two weeks in a row and has a birthday coming up shortly.  You can expect to hear from him shortly regarding that event. Seth extended his usual amenity to us at his house at mile 4.  Thanks, Seth!

Leslie graced us with here presence today, sadly for her last run with us before she and family leave for their new home in Monument CO.  The good news is that I expect to see Leslie in Colorado in a few weeks.  We are hoping to get to see Jack Ramsey and have a mini-reunion run.

I'm sorry to report that Christine took a tumble yesterday on her run and wisely opted to rest today.  That's wise of you Christine, and we hope you heal fast.  Wish I had a dollar for every time I have fallen.  Obviously, they have uneven sidewalks in College Park—just like Winter Park!  We missed you today!!

Christy

Christy reaffirmed that she soon hopes to join us for a run as soon as she has completely recovered from surgery.  We wish you the best, Christy, and hope to see you very soon!

Visitors from the UK

On July 29 we will have a husband-wife team visiting us from the U.K.  I hopefully will be vacationing then and ask that you extend our customary gracious welcome to them. Their names are Lee and Helen Morris and they are probably good for six or more miles.

Have a great week!

Jack
