April 15 Run

Today's Run

I was wrong last week about the good weather being over!  We had a picture perfect 63 degree running temp which 13 of us enjoyed this morning.  Ed and Dave were back after their recent "sabbaticals".  Good geographical coverage with Debbie coming all the way from Ocoee and Ian from Sanford

We were dissed for the third time in the last month by the Brits, as a visitor from Oxford failed to show this morning as promised.  We may have to revoke some running passports.

Save the Date

On Thursday, May 31st I am planning to do a presentation on the remarkable health value of running as we grow older.  I will also share some of my zany and off-beat experiences in running in over thirty countries around the world over the past thirty years.  More to come.

April 24 Presentation by "The Iron Nun"

On Tuesday evening, April 24, you can hear an inspirational talk by the "Iron Nun".  Sister Madonna, an 81 year old lady, is speaking at Florida Hospital, Orlando.  Get this:  She has completed 45 Ironman Distances since she did her first one at age 55 and is looking to get an 80+ age category in this year's competition!  I hope to attend.  See attached flyer for more info.  I think I'll try to look in on this one.

Have a good week and don't forget to pay your taxes!

Jack
