RE: August 14 Run

Jack, Thank you for your note. Here's wishing you a speedy full recovery. I ran a part of the course in reverse direction from home and connected with a couple of our group near my house.

Several of us were discussing form this morning so I'm circulating this link that shows slow-motion video of this year's Boston Marathon finish for both both men and women winners.

Note the 1st and 2nd men in the top video and how they land on the forefoot and appear to be in excellent form and relatively easy effort even after 26 miles (a thing of beauty). The third clip down of women's winners really shows the contrast between heel and toe landing. The first 2 women are mostly on their toes and then a bit behind them the third place female is striking heel-first and appears to be working much harder.
